I need my coffee now more than ever! If you visited my blog before, you may know that I am a huge coffee lover and always make my own coffee creamer. I do not remember the last time I bought it! It's simply to easy not to make it at home. Besides, I always have the ingredients on hand so why not!

This homemade coffee creamer version tastes just like a sweet and delicious almond coffee cake. Just what I love with a cup of joe on a relaxing afternoon.

I take my cheesecake and cheesecake bars seriously so when the idea to make these Funfetti Cheesecake Bars and share here on my blog, I remembered the most common request from you guys - can they be thicker. Well, sure they can! Still creamy, sweet with velvety texture but twice as thick. The right ratio of butter to graham cracker crumbs makes for a sturdy, non-crumbling crust. Oatmeal Chocolate Chip M&M Cookies Recipe

    November 11, 2016 by Anna 12 Comments

Oatmeal M&M Cookies  - soft and chewy oatmeal cookies packed with gooey chocolate chips and colorful M&M's!

I like simple treats with oats. These cookies are a family favorite, just like my Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies or the Apple Oatmeal Cookies.

    Oatmeal M&M Cookies stacked up.

    OATMEAL M&M COOKIES

If you browse Pinterest for just a few minutes, you start to see a pattern. There are holiday dinner recipe ideas all over it.  And all I want is a plate full of cookies. Like these Oatmeal M&M Cookies. So while I dunk them in milk and enjoy every chocolate and candy-filled bite of them, I'll still be sitting here planning our festive holiday dinner and writing the never-ending shopping list.

These cookies are so easy to make because we are using melted butter for the dough so no mixer needed as we are not creaming or whipping the ingredients. Just mix it all together, chill for a couple of hours, scoop and bake.

Apple Cranberry Slow Cooker Tea Recipe

    October 30, 2016 by Anna 21 Comments

Apple Cranberry Slow Cooker Tea Recipe - warm and cozy tea with fresh cranberries and apples, cooked in slow cooker. Perfect for chilly fall and winter days!

Apple Cranberry Tea in a mug.

This post is sponsored by Mirum Shopper.

As soon as the temperatures turn chilly, every afternoon I have a ritual of making a cup of tea. Recently, my 10 year old started to join me and she became a huge fan of tea. We love peppermint tea, orange tea and now this Cranberry Apple Tea. Best part - it's cooked in a slow cooker and kept warm all day. Just fill up your mug whenever you are ready!

There is no dealing with hot boiling water here so I let my kiddos even do the prep. All they need to do, is place everything in the slow cooker and turn it on. We can even get it done in on a weekend morning, before we leave the house to do shopping, go for a walk, visit family and friends. Then we come home to a cozy, warm, fragrant sweet tea to fill up our mugs with.

Raspberry Coconut Sour Cream Crumb Pie Recipe - sweet and creamy coconut filling with a tarty raspberry jam, all under a buttery crunchy crumb topping. This pie is easy and absolutely delicious!

Raspberry Coconut Sour Cream Crumb Pie slice on a plate.

This pie has my name written all over it. Everything from the easy crust ( and when I say easy, I mean so so easy! ), the sour cream filling to the crunchy crumb topping - it's all right up my alley. I can't even choose my favorite part of it!

I've had this idea for a pie for a while now and it's all because I was craving my sour cream crumb bars. I've made a pumpkin version, an apple caramel version and a strawberry pie version. It was time for a new flavor combo. And why not make it into a pie? After all, the pie season is upon us.

Homemade Salted Caramel Frappuccino Recipe - my favorite coffee shop drink in it's lighter, homemade version. So easy and absolutely delicious!

Salted Caramel Frappe in a mug.

These past two days has been absolutely gorgeous here in Kansas. Sunny mornings, upper 70s, light breeze - perfection! Warm, sunny days have me craving iced coffee drinks with a tall whipped cream topping. And a drizzle of caramel. Yes, definitely a drizzle of caramel.

You may already know that I love making coffee creamers and coffee drinks in my own kitchen instead of standing in line of a coffee shop. It's easier, quicker and cheaper.

Ice Cream Pebbles Marshmallow Cereal Bars Recipe - a 3-ingredient rice krispies style treat made with Rainbow Sherbet Pebbles cereal! So fun to make and eat!

It's becoming a tradition for us to make cereal treats for holidays. Kids love them, they are easy to make and so much fun to eat! Usually, I will make them out of Rice Krispies cereal - a classic. I add colorful marshmallows or Peeps to give the bars a certain hue (depending on the holiday). Few weeks ago, while looking for rice cereal (and having and Easter theme in mind), I stumbled upon Ice Cream Pebbles from Post. You guys, cereal that tastes like ICE CREAM!  #mindblown

The name and colors got me and a box landed in my shopping cart. I shared about this discovery on INSTAGRAM and you guys loved it too!

Mint Cheesecake Bars Recipe - thick and creamy cheesecake bars with refreshing mint flavor and chocolatey Oreo crust. So easy, you will love each and every bite!

    Mint Cheesecake Bars stacked up.

If you ever ask me, what is my favorite dessert to make for any holiday, I will always say cheesecake. My love for this dessert runs deep and it has been visible on the pages of this blog. So much so, that questions about  cheesecake are the most popular I receive from you, the readers. It makes me so happy to get them and to know you love cheesecake as much as I do.

Cheesecake (in any form) is my family's favorite dessert. It is the first dessert I made for my Hubby when were were still dating. I always make it for his birthday. He will never pass on a good creamy slice of cheesecake, especially topped with caramel and chopped pecans. : )

Flourless Peanut Butter Blender Muffins Recipe

Flourless Peanut Butter Blender Muffins Recipe - the best blender muffins ever! Soft, fluffy and delicious! Make these muffins in just minutes right in your blender!

Flourless Peanut Butter Blender Muffins on a plate.

    FLOURLESS BLENDER MUFFINS

My kiddos love muffins. They also know by now what a good muffin is. It has to be fluffy, soft and it's good if there is chocolate involved. 🙂 I agree! Domed tops are a sign of success when it comes to muffins. Every time I try a new muffin recipe, I always look for domed tops. The fact that these muffins have no white flour in them and use peanut butter in place of oil AND come out gorgeously - puts them right in my top 5 favorite muffin recipes ever.

    Why This Recipe Works

I wish I could just hand you a fork and a plate of these babies and tell you to dig in. You simply have to try them to know how fantastic they are! I love to make something so good and then give my Hubby or the kids a piece to try and see their reaction. The look a person has on their face when their taste buds are feasting on delicious food - priceless.

You may remember the slow cooker creamy mashed potatoes I shared recently. I ended up having some leftover and realized that mashed potatoes are the most often leftover Thanksgiving dish in our family. Sweet potato casserole is pretty much like a dessert but we call it a side dish, stuffing disappears along with the turkey, cranberry sauce I could eat by itself (LOVE it!) but mashed potatoes get the least love.

    Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake Bars

    May 12, 2015 by Anna 72 Comments

Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake Bars - creamy cheesecake bars with raspberry pie filling swirl. Sweet, creamy and delicious!

Side shot of three pieces of lemon raspberry cheesecake bars stacked up on each other.

These cheesecake bars are the best of both worlds. I LOVE pie filling but don't bake pies. I already said how much I love cheesecake, but not always I want to whip up the whole round 9"-er. Bars are easier, take much less prep time and bake time and still can knock your socks off.

    LEMON RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE BARS

These Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake Bars are so easy to make, much faster than making a whole cheesecake. The berry lemon combo fits perfectly for a Spring or Summer dessert theme. Use any cookies for the crust or go with a classic graham cracker, as I did.

My kids were speechless and right afterward giggling with excitement and impatiently awaiting the muffins to be done.

These Mini Pancake Muffins are pretty much pancakes baked in a mini muffin pan. The recipe makes 24 mini muffins so you can match and mix the toppings to your likings. We chose chopped strawberries, chocolate chips and shredded unsweetened coconut. You can make a variety with just one batch!

    Healthy Banana Chocolate Muffins

Usually this time of year, I take to here, my little space on the internet to complain about the freezing cold weather. If you live in the Midwest, you know what I mean. The winters here can be horrible. But this year, I really can't complain. For the last week, we have been enjoying unusually warm temperatures here in Kansas. It's been around 60 degrees almost every day. And this week is supposed to be above average as well.

This past weekend it was so warm, that we went for a walk in the park and stopped by a large field to fly kites. Yes! We were flying kites in the middle of January! It sounds so crazy but it was so fun!

So, I am not complaining about the weather. But, because it's January and we all are trying to eat healthier and make better choices everyday, I am sharing a healthy recipe today.

Old-Fashioned Iced Oatmeal Cookies - perfectly crunchy cookies that everyone loves! Dressed up with a sweet glaze!

    Old-Fashioned Iced Oatmeal Cookies

So apparently, it's already November 6th. Which means there are 21 days left till Thanksgiving and 48 days till Christmas. How did this happen? Where is the time going?

I think I am still recovering from the time-change. It always takes me a couple of weeks to adjust to the shorter days.

If that's not enough, the weather turned seriously chilly here in Kansas and I've been wearing scarves everyday. I don't do well in cold.

So I baked cookies. Because cookies make everything better. These are not any fancy cookies, no special ingredients or techniques needed. They are good ol' fashioned oatmeal cookies iced with the simplest glaze ever.

Do you remember the Microwave Caramel Sauce I shared a few days ago? I said I made a few batches while testing the recipe. To save myself from spooning the glorious caramel right into my mouth, I was trying to find ways to use it in other recipes.

So I drizzled it over this cake and these bars that I made again to shoot new photos. By the way, they are still one of my favorite bars! Have you made them yet? The caramel sauce is perfect to mix in with a cheesecake dip and serve with apple slices. So good!

    Zucchini Cornbread Muffins

    July 28, 2014 by Anna 14 Comments

Zucchini Cornbread Muffins - fun and easy way to sneak in veggies into your diet! Our favorite cornbread muffin with the addition of zucchini is perfect this time of year!

    Zucchini Cornbread Muffins

Just like pumpkin in the fall, the zucchini recipes are taking over the internet! I see folks complaining about abundance and not enough ways to eat it.

I gave up growing anything in our garden two years ago, after the tomatoes were eaten by rabbits (which totally made them so not cool in my book, but my kids are still excited to see bunnies in our yard) and the peppers were devoured by squirrels. I hope they liked it. And no, I don't feel bad if they had to run looking for a water source afterwards.

So that means that I am one of not too many people that don't have zucchini overtaking their gardens. Nothing is overtaking my garden, actually. Besides weeds maybe, but that's because I do not like yard work and simply choose to ignore them.

    So, Zucchini Cornbread Muffins.

    Rice Krispies Pirate Treasure Chest

    March 27, 2014 by Anna 31 Comments

Rice Krispies Pirate Treasure Chest - easy step by step instructions to make a pirate chest our of rice krispies treats, filled with popcorn and fruit leather map. Really easy food craft for a pirate theme birthday party!

Side shot of a pirate treasure chest made out of rice krispies treats.

    RICE KRISPIES PIRATE TREASURE CHEST

Now that we have a boy, my Hubby is happy to be done with castle cakes and ready to go all in into boy themed cakes and treats. He designs them, I bake and together we assemble the pieces. When I told him that I need to make a party treat in either fairy or pirate theme - he voted for the pirate theme. With both hands. Can you tell he was excited? 🙂 Both of my boys love pirates!

After a little brainstorming, we came up with the idea of using rice krispies treats for two reasons: I have been making RKT's for the last two weeks and they are so easy to cut and stack and eventually build something from them.

Enter Pirate Treasure Chest. You may also like our Halloween treat: Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispies Treats made with pumpkin marshmallows or my holiday fave: Peppermint Rice Krispies Treats. So good!

Cherry Delight - a dessert that's always a hit at parties and get-togethers. No-bake cheesecake layer topped with cherry pie filling makes this an irresistible treat!

If you love creamy no-bake desserts, you should try my No-Bake Pumpkin Pie. Serve it for the holidays, along with cookies, like my Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies.

    CHERRY DELIGHT

I am so excited to finally share this recipe on the blog! It is a family recipe and a dessert we always look forward to during holidays. It's super easy to make, requires no baking (although I did bake the crust to set it even more) and looks so festive! My Husband's Grandmother used to make this dessert for holidays. I never had a chance to meet her but I always think of her when this treat appears on the holiday table. My brother-in-law took over the tradition of making the Cherry Delight.

After the success of my Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer, I wanted to make a hot cocoa mix for the whole family. All you need to make this sweet mix is milk powder or coffee creamer, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, cocoa and salt. Store it in a tall jar and use when the craving for a hot mug of cocoa strikes.

    Caramel Apple Crumb Bars Recipe

    October 19, 2013 by Anna 11 Comments

One of the easiest apple desserts to make this fall: Caramel Apple Crumb Bars. Delicious brown sugar crust and topping and creamy apple filling.

We love these crumb bars during fall, as much as we love my Cherry Pie Crumb Bars during summer.

    CARAMEL APPLE CRUMB BARS

I made another version of my favorite bars: sour cream crumb bars. My crumb bars are one of the easiest recipes on my site and so easily adaptable to any season and any flavors. You name it, I can make it into these crumb bars. My favorites are Strawberry Pie Crumb Bars and the popular Pumpkin Spice Crumb Bars.

This time, I added homemade apple butter, shredded apple and drizzled the finished product with sweet caramel glaze. Best idea ever!
