Why You'll Love This Recipe

Our Monday just got better.

Because in my book, a chocolate and coffee blended with ice into a perfect chilled drink can make any day better. Plus, a homemade copycat that tastes way better then the store-bought is always a winner.

It's this time of year! Iced coffee is my everyday companion. I made a run to my local grocery store the other day. It was hot and humid. Our store has Starbucks inside and it is very convenient for the shoppers to grab a frappe and shop. I must have passed at least a dozen of people with a shopping basket in one hand and Starbucks cup in the other. That left me craving a chilled coffee drink. As soon as I got home, I pulled out my Blendtec and made this beauty. I still love to start the day with a hot cup of joe but this chilled frappuccino is like a treat and recently, it even replaced my afternoon dessert. Because it is like a dessert in a mug! Fudge sauce, whipped cream and all!

Ingredients:

  • coffee
  • half and half or milk
  • ice
  • sugar
  • fudge sauce

How to make mocha frappuccino?

  • Measure out all ingredients.
  • Place everything in the blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into a serving mug, and top with extra whipped cream and fudge sauce.

Homemade Mocha Frappuccino Copycat Recipe - just a few ingredients and 2 minutes is all you need to make this cooling coffee drink in your own kitchen! crunchycreamysweet.com

Why is this recipe the best:

Two things make it absolutely irresistible:

  • it takes 2 minutes to whip it up in a blender (one step only)
  • there is my favorite 10-Minutes Fudge Sauce in it!

Don't you just want to slurp it down?

Homemade Mocha Frappuccino in a mug.

Crazy good! Especially with the addition of whipped cream and a drizzle of the glorious fudge sauce. By the way, you NEED to try my fudge sauce recipe. It's so fast and easy to make. So fill up the jar, pop the straw in, kick off the sandals and put your feet up!

I omitted the sugar and replaced the half and half with Califia cold brew almond milk mocha. It was yummy.

At first I made it with skim milk and chocolate syrup, which was okay, but not great. But then I made it with half-and-half and fudge sauce, and HOLY MOLY IT'S TASTY. (I used regular coffee both times, but I think I might try espresso next time...)

    Hi!
Can I use lactose free milk? And can I substitute the fudge with something?

In the ingredients it doesn’t say what type of coffee to use, what do you recommend to use in this recipe?

Hi Lexi! Hmm, I am not sure what you could substitute here. I never made it without coffee. Without it, it will be like chocolate milk, frappuccino style.

You were correct it basically was a chocolate milk slush if anyone wants to know I added a bit more ice and milk but yea honestly I have tried a lot of these receptors and this is the best one even though it is so simple!

Made this during the storm, definitely a hit with the hubby! (I added a little extra sugar because we're sugar fiends lol) Will probably be making these daily from now on!

Love this! It tastes just like the real drink! I might even like this version better! (Sometimes the baristas at Starbucks add too much syrup) Thank you for this awesome recipe! 😃

I love this recipe!! I usually add some peanut butter, which isn’t in the original Starbucks frappe but gives it a sort of milkshake texture 🙂

Hi Anna,I was wondering if I could use unsweetened almond milk for the milk and a banana in place of the sugar? Thanks in advance for a reply

Hi! The unsweetened almond milk will definitely work just fine. The banana will probably change the texture but I would say go for it!

I tried this tonight. Unfortunately I didn't look at the recipe before shopping today lol, so I used Truvia sugar instead and didn't have the hot fudge. It still was good. I want to make it the right way next time.
