    Pumpkin Spice Crumb Bars Recipe

    September 12, 2013 by Anna 40 Comments

Pumpkin Spice Crumb Bars recipe - quick and easy fall dessert with pumpkin and spice. The crumb topping is irresistible!

Side shot of pumpkin spice crumb bars stacked up on each other on a plate.

    PUMPKIN SPICE CRUMB BARS

Crumb bars are one of my favorite dessert bars to make. They are super easy because the crust mixture also makes the crumb topping! The filling variations are limitless which means you can make any crumb bar recipe you like. Inspired by Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte, based on my original Crumb Bars recipe and lightened up with Greek yogurt, these bars are absolutely delicious, perfectly balanced in flavor and texture.

These Pumpkin Spice Crumb Bars are perfect if you don't want to make a pie this Fall but you love pumpkin desserts. When I don't make my Cherry Pie Crumb Bars or my Strawberry Pie Crumb Bars, I am making this pumpkin version. The crust is sturdy enough to hold the other two layers, yet it melts in your mouth. The pumpkin yogurt filling is so creamy and tastes like light pumpkin pie. The crumb topping bakes into crunchy mounds of cinnamon and brown sugar goodness. You can, of course, use sour cream in place of the yogurt.

One of the classic desserts for the holidays has to be this one. It's rich and decadent. I love pecan and I always use halves. You can chop the nuts roughly before stirring with the filling mixture. Since I don't make pies often, I have yet to master my pie crust recipe. For a shortcut, I use a store-bought ready crust or frozen crust that just needs to be blind baked before assembling the pie. This pie is truly easy to make and bound to wow your family and guests this holiday season!

Cinnamon roll lovers, this one is for you! I have a fun twist on two classic weekend breakfast dishes that are combined into one casserole. Cinnamon rolls meet French toast for a mouth-watering, sweet and irresistible combination. I love my Cinnamon Roll Coffee Creamer when I don't feel like mixing up the yeast dough and making a batch of my Easy Cinnamon Rolls. This casserole let's me use the convenience of ready cinnamon rolls in a tube, stir it with a few ingredients and bake into one delicious weekend breakfast.

Cranberry Pecan Baked Brie Recipe - creamy gooey cheese topped with tarty cranberries and sweet pecans. Perfect party appetizer for the holiday season!

In my book, appetizers almost always have to include cheese. Best yet, if it's warm and gooey cheese. Baked Brie is one of the easiest and most satisfying cheesy apps you can make. The toppings combination options are endless. Make them savory or sweet, serve with crackers or spread on baguette slices and watch it disappear.

One of my favorite ways to enjoy Baked Brie is to bake it with my Cranberry Sauce and brown sugar pecans. You will be obsessed with this sweet, tarty and creamy dish!

    Spiced Shortbread Cookies Recipe

    November 2, 2017 by Anna 11 Comments

Spiced Shortbread Cookies Recipe - classic shortbread cookie made with half the sugar and spiced with cinnamon, cloves and ginger.

Side shot of a stack of thin shortbread cookies with cinnamon sticks.

This post is sponsored by Stevia In The Raw®.

Shortbread cookies are one of my favorites to make for the holidays. They require basically only 3 ingredients ( plus add-ons ) and the flavor combinations are endless. I love a good crunchy shortbread with a cup of latte for an afternoon break.

These Spiced Shortbread Cookies have less calories than classic shortbread because half of the sugar is replaced by Stevia In The Raw®, a zero calorie sweetener made with extracts from the sweet leaves of the stevia plant, that is perfect for baking. They are absolutely delicious!
