It's the weekend, so let's chat! Grab a cup of coffee, maybe a slice of cake (I won't judge!) and pull up a chair. I have a ton of things to share with you!
Earlier this year, we bought a house and we are obsessed with the city, our new place, the neighborhood and of course, super excited for the holidays. I am constantly searching for home decor ideas on Pinterest. Right now I am trying to figure out how to design my photo gallery in our bedroom. That's actually easier than choosing which photos to display. I have so many! If you have any tips for me, please leave them in the comments.
Today I want to share with you something to watch, something to buy (no affiliate links), something to cook, something to create and my plans for the weekend. Let's get started!
Something to watch:
My oldest daughter has a YouTube channel and we started a series of crafty and DIY videos. We are having a ton of fun coming up with new ideas, and since she is a natural in front of the camera, shooting the videos is a breeze. She edits them by herself which I think it's awesome! Go, leave her some love on her channel! You can also get a sneak peek into our new kitchen. 😀
Something to buy:
Lanterns - I am OBSESSED with lanterns. Our new house has outdoor lantern lights above our garage door and I just love the look. I found the best deals for lanterns at Kirkland's. I have this one, this one and two sets of these. The small ones are perfect on our nightstands. The large ones are great on accent tables, by the front door or as a centerpiece on a dinner table.
Tote bags - I've always been a large tote bag girl until our babies were done with diapers and all of a sudden I found myself not needing so many things in my bag at all times. Now, I have a crossbody bag that fits my wallet, phone, chapstick and granola bar. I am obsessed with the collection from The Weeknd Edit. The colors (mostly the cognac), the shapes and sizes make me swoon every time I see them on Instagram. You have to follow them!
Would you like to save this recipe?
Instant Pot ULTRA - If you are still wondering if the IP is worth the hype and if you should get one, I am here to tell you that this little appliance is worth it. I use it almost every day. If I don't cook a whole meal in it, I prep ingredients for lunches or dinners. My 1-Minute Quinoa or my Black Beans are on a weekly rotation. My newest addition is the IP Ultra and I love it. You can read my initial review here.
Something to cook:
- Sheet Pan Pancakes - This idea is absolutely fantastic! Not only you save time because you don't have to stand by the stove and flip pancakes but you can make one sheet of pancakes and let everyone personalize their part. Score!
- The Best Chewy Snickerdoodles - I shared all of my tips so you can make the best snickerdoodle cookies you've ever had. The secret lays in the melted butter. Oh! You don't need a mixer to make the dough! Score!
- Instant Pot Cherry Delight Cheesecake - The Instant Pot proves once again that it's worth every penny. You can make a crack-free, ultra creamy and dreamy cheesecake. You have to try my recipe!
Something to create:
If you need ideas for cool crafts to make with your kids or grandkids, may I suggest this 3-ingredient slime that has no borax and will keep the kiddos occupied and content for hours. Follow our video tutorial here.
A simple table centerpiece made with a lantern filled with pumpkins is perfect for your fall decor or even a Thanksgiving table. I will share mine on Instagram, so don't forget to follow me there.
Plans for the weekend:
My plan is to finish decorating our house for Halloween. My kids made a countdown board and it's officially only 12 days till the candy craze! What are your plans for the weekend? Do you make a meal plan? Any parties, special occasions or trips planned? Share with me below!
As always, to see what I am up to behind the scenes, you can follow me on Instagram. To see what I'm pinning, follow me on Pinterest!

So fun! I'm so happy you guys are all settled in and loving everything about your new location. Love the weekend chat idea and all the fun things you shared. And you're right, your daughter is a total natural behind the camera! Such a cute and smart girl 🙂 We actually just had some "family slime time" yesterday, lol, and my kids are still playing with it today - for 2 1/2 hours! They're definitely slime-obsessed 😉

Thank you so much, Kimberly! And yes to slime for hours! 😀
