HOW TO MAKE PEANUT BUTTER REESE'S COOKIE BARS?
Preheat oven and line a square baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk melted butter with peanut butter until smooth. Add both sugars and whisk until well mixed. Add vanilla and egg and mix well.
Add dry ingredients and stir in with a spatula. Add chocolate chips and stir in. The dough should be soft but not at all sticky.
Place dough in prepared pan and press, smoothing out the top. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and chopped Reese's candy over the top and gently press into the dough.
Bake bars for 21 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
Cut and serve.
Of course, we filmed a video showing you how to make these bars. You can also see the parchment paper trick in person. Saves time and I am all about saving time in the kitchen. PS: You can also scoop the dough with a cookie scoop and turn these into cookies. They are fantastic! 🙂

Very crumbly batter! Once baked they came out alright, but still crumbly.
I made these bars and the came out great !
My husband loved them, will definitely make them again!
These bars tastes good, but I agree with other reviewers - the proportions are off. The mix was very crumbly, so I added more butter and egg, but it would not come together.
Hi Hannah! Did you measure out the flour correctly?
I loved it, it tastes AMAZING and it was such a quick recipe! Mine turned out a little crumbly though, do you know what could’ve caused that? I’d love to do this recipe again and get it right!
Hi Kylie! Thank you for trying the recipe! If the dough feels too dry, it's most likely because there is too much flour. I recommend fluffing it in the container you store it in, then spooning into a measuring cup. I hope this helps!
My batter was also too crumbly. I ended up adding another 2T each of butter and PB, and it would barely come together. Baked and fell apart upon serving. Tasted good though.
I was a little leery about this recipe the batter seemed very dry but they turn out great. When I make them again I think I’ll put peanut butter cup in the batter instead of chocolate chips.
Thank you so much, Maureen! I am so glad you love these bars!
I don't have corn starch? Do I have to have it?
Could I double this recipe and bake in a 9x13 pan? Do you think that would work? Would love to try this for a party but I will need more than an 8x8 pan's worth! Lol!
Hi Angela! Absolutely! It will work just fine. Let me know how you like these bars!
How long would you bake them if you doubled the recipe in a 9x13 pan?
I baked mine for 28 min in a 13 x 9 pan, and they turned out fabulous looking!
Thank you, Kati!
We all love peanut butter cups here too - that struggle has never been more real - my husband and I both looked at these pictures and we are about to break into our secret peanut butter cup stash. 😉
LOL I LOVE that! Thank you, Jenny !
I made them yesterday and they were delicious! I only had crunchy peanut butter on hand and it worked perfectly.
Yay! That's fantastic! Thank you for letting me know, Timicka! 😀
These look incredible! They would be GOBBLED up at any family party!
They go fast! Thanks, Cathy! 🙂
