You can make Homemade Crackers in under 20 minutes. Super easy and way better than the store-bought kind!
The perfect topping for these crackers is my Homemade Pimento Cheese Spread or my Cranberry Jam.

HOMEMADE CRACKERS
Just in case you are not a fan of wheat thins, or have texture issues, or simply want a cracker but don't have whole wheat flour on hand, here is a recipe for simple homemade crackers. I took the recipe for Homemade Wheat Thins and switched the white whole wheat flour for all-purpose flour. In case you were wondering (and I was) if it works - it does! And so wonderfully! You can add whatever spices you like to the dough. I added ground black pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
So all you need is probably already in your pantry. In just under 20 minutes you can enjoy a nice batch of homemade crackers. Who's in? 🙂

I've been looking for a cracker recipe that used crushed pecans and was slightly sweet and came across your recipe. I admit I changed it and it's close to perfect! I left out the pepper, garlic and paprika, substituted 1/2 cup crushed pecans for 1/2 cup of flour. Followed all the other directions and came out with a slightly sweet/nutty cracker that is going to be perfect for a cream cheese spread topping! Thank you!

I love Wheat Thins - your homemade versions may have me seeking therapy - especially if peanut butter is involved. 😀 (Gorgeous photos!)
