Expert Tips!
- Pull the steak out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature before air frying.
- After cooking, let the steak rest for about 8 to 10 minutes before serving, to let the juices redistribute in the meat. Otherwise, they will escape and your steak will be dry.
- Choose a steak that has a good amount of marbling, meaning the fat distributed in the meat.
What to serve with steak?
We enjoy steak with baked potatoes, French fries, coleslaw, onion rings, etc. Go for easy veggie sides and don't forget garlic butter or your favorite steak sauce!
Storing leftovers:
I recommend storing leftovers in a container with a lid, in the fridge, for up to 3 days.
Recipe FAQs:
I always thaw steak completely before cooking. It is easier for me to control the results. Some chefs will never use a steak that was frozen but it always comes down to the quality of the meat. If you are following my recipe below, I recommend a fresh steak or one that is completely thawed.
The air in the air fryer circulates so there is no need to flip the steak. It will cook through.
This method works for any steak: ribeye, sirloin steak, NY strip, etc. Keep in mind, that thicker steaks may require longer cooking time. Always check with a meat thermometer.
