My biscuit dough is fail-proof and so easy to make, even if you've never made biscuits before. The air fryer gave them a nice crunchy top. I am still in awe they baked so beautifully in just 6 minutes. I hope you will try this recipe and enjoy it as much as I do!

Why This Recipe is the Best:
The main advantage of using an air fryer to bake biscuits from scratch is the time it takes to make them. Instead of waiting for the oven to preheat for 15 to 20 minutes (depending on the model), the air fryer preheats in about 2 minutes. The biscuits bake in ⅓ of the time it takes them to bake in the oven (just 6 minutes, down from 18). This is perfect when you are short on time!
Homemade, from scratch, biscuits are always better than the canned stuff. They are buttery, flaky and the air fryer gives the tops a nice crunch.
Best Tips!
- Use cold, straight from the fridge, butter. You can chop it into pieces and cut it in with a pastry cutter but I find grating it with a cheese grated works better.
- Use homemade buttermilk. It's so easy to make, no need to buy it!
- Preheat the air fryer for 2 minutes.
- Brush the biscuits with butter before and after baking. They will be extra delicious!
Variations:
- Ham and cheese: add chopped ham and grated cheddar to the biscuit dough before cutting.
- Garlic and herb: add minced garlic and fresh herbs to the biscuit dough.
- Serve biscuits with my sausage gravy for a delicious breakfast!
Recipe FAQs:
When served warm for breakfast, all these biscuits need is butter and jam. Strawberry jam and cream cheese is our favorite ways to serve them! You can serve them with soups, casseroles, or our sausage gravy.
Use the air fryer to reheat the biscuits. One to 2 minutes at 350 degrees F will do the trick!

These are the best! I don’t flatten so the peaks are crunchy?

Sorry, not a big fan of this recipe. A little too sweet and not salty enough. First batch on the parchment paper didn't brown very well. Second batch without the paper did much better. I also think it needs a tad more baking powder to rise better. Sorry, just my opinion...

It reminds me of my grandmother biscuits. She used self rising flour instead of using baking powder
