    Why You'll Love This Recipe

    When it comes to homemade holiday candy, I like easy recipes with simple ingredients. Better yet, if they can be easily dressed up with festive sprinkles, mini M&M's or chopped nuts. Fun to make, share and eat!

    I also use my microwave, because it's quick and easy! Just like I do, to make my Easy Microwave Caramels. Perfect for when you need a last-minute gift for friends and family. Done and done!

    Along with my Rolo Pretzel Bites and the Christmas M&M Cookies, this fudge is a perfect holiday treat to make and share!

    Ingredients:

    Ingredients for fudge on a board.
    • chocolate chips
    • sweetened condensed milk
    • any extract: vanilla, almond, rum, etc.

    How to make Christmas Fudge?

    • Start by placing chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Add condensed milk.
    • Microwave for 20 seconds and stir. Heat up in 20-second increments, until the mixture is melted.
    • Stir until smooth. Add extract and stir in.

    • Line an 8" or 9" square baking pan with parchment paper.
    • Pour the fudge mixture into pan.
    • Add sprinkles, M&M's, etc.
    • Let cool completely to set.
    • Cut into squares and enjoy!

    Can I make the fudge on the stove?

    Absolutely! You can melt the mixture in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth and pour into a pan.

    How to store fudge?

    I recommend storing this fudge in a container with a lid. If stored in the fridge, it will last longer.

    Variations:

    • candy: chop any candy bars you like and press into a still warm fudge mixture;
    • coffee: add 1 teaspoon of instant coffee granules to melted fudge mixture;
    • nuts: add 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, peanuts, etc.);
    • rum: use rum extract in the fudge mixture.

    Tips for the best homemade fudge!

    • line baking pan with parchment paper; it will make it easier to lift it out of the pan;
    • use good-quality chocolate chips;
    • let it set completely and it will be easy to cut.
