Why This Recipe Works
If you are not sold on the air fryer trend yet, this Air Fryer Bacon may just do the trick. In just 10 minutes, you can make perfectly crispy bacon without splatters or smoking up the kitchen. The air fryer makes the whole process easier and faster. No need to wait for the oven to preheat. No need to stand by the stove and afterward having to wipe grease splatters.
How to cook bacon in the air fryer?
- Start by arranging bacon slices in the air fryer basket. Cut them in half if needed.
- Close the air fryer, press the "air fry" setting, set temperature and timer.
- Check on the bacon closer to the end of the cooking cycle and add more time if needed.
- Remove bacon from the air fryer and place on a paper towel.
- Repeat process if cooking more bacon.
Why you should cook bacon in the air fryer?
Cooking bacon in the air fryer is fast and easy. No need to wait for the appliance to preheat and the clean-up is a breeze. The hot air circulates in the air fryer allowing the bacon slices to cook until crispy. The bacon cooks at 350 degrees F (which is below the smoking point for bacon) so the process is almost mess-free.
I used my Cosori Dual Blaze 6.8 quart air fryer and after 10 minutes, the bacon was crispy and delicious!

- Place bacon in the basket in a single layer. Do not overlap the slices or they won't cook properly and evenly.
- No need to preheat the air fryer. Just place the bacon in the basket and let the appliance do the work!
- If your bacon has a lot of fat, place a paper towel on a plate and place cooked bacon on top to soak up the excess grease.
- If you are cooking in batches, you may want to wipe the bottom of the air fryer basket in between cooking cycles.
- Cut bacon slices in half if you need to. Fit as many as you can, in a single layer.

Question: Did you place the bacon on the “Crisper tray” that came with the”Dual Blaze”, on some other cooking tray like a wire rack, or in the basket alone? Thanks
Susan says
Look closely at one of the photos above of raw bacon in the basket. You can see that the bacon has been placed on the crisper tray. I wanted to know that, too!
Anna says
Hi Susan! It will work in an oven-style air fryer or a basket-style air fryer. Both should have trays. Hope this helps!
