Peach Ginger Agua Fresca Recipe - refreshing fruit water made with peaches, ginger and honey. Good for you and hydrating during the hot summer days.

This year the heat is ahead of time and here in Kansas, the temperatures are reaching the 90s already. That definitely calls for more time by the pool and tall glasses of refreshing Peach Ginger Agua Fresca. This flavor combo is currently my favorite. Refreshing, thirst-quenching yet with a little zing. I am already using ginger in my morning smoothie to take advantage of it's health benefits so why not add it to a refreshing fruit water. It's honey sweetened but if you are using ripe, sweet and juicy peaches - you may not need it at all. Just place in blender with plenty of ice and blend till smooth.
Agua frescas are perfect drinks to make for the whole family. You can make them with any fruit you have on hand. My kiddos love my Strawberry Agua Frescas as well it's pineapple version.
While this Peach Ginger Agua Fresca is absolutely delicious, know that it's also very good for you. Peaches are an excellent source of antioxidant Vitamin C; minerals like calcium, potassium and iron; are low in calories and are a good source of dietary fiber. Ginger offers digestive support, boosts your immunity, helps with weight loss and and is anti-inflammatory. Please research both for more info.
The sweeter and more ripe your peaches, the less honey you will need in this agua fresca. Just adjust to taste after blending. You can use fresh ginger, minced or powdered ginger like I did. I just always have it on hand. You can also use less ice if you freeze half of the peaches used in this recipe. I also recommend freezing peach slices so you can enjoy this smoothie during the winter months, when we are dreaming of summer days.

Peach Ginger Agua Fresca recipe
Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches the softer and sweeter the better
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger or fresh minced ginger
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Adjust to taste.
