These Lobster Tails are made with frozen tails and baked in the oven with garlic butter. Done in 10 minutes, this surprisingly easy dish looks fancy but it's very easy to make.

This light seafood dinner is delicious and easy, just like my Garlic Tuna Cakes or my Shrimp Scampi.

Lobster tails with lemon on a plate.

For the longest time, I have been intimidated by recipes that call for lobster or crab. I am still ways away from cooking the entire thing alive. These lobster tails are a different story! I was very surprised at how easy they are to make. I got a pack of two frozen tails, thawed them out in the fridge and baked in 10 minutes. Talk about a simple yet impressive meal!

    Ingredients:

    • lobster tails
    • butter
    • lemon
    • garlic
    • salt and pepper

How to cook raw lobster tails?

    • Start by washing the lobster tails.
    • Place each tail on a cutting board.
    • Using kitchen scissors, cut the shell starting in the middle and along the tail. Pull it apart to expose the meat.
    • Melt butter. Mix with garlic, salt and pepper. Pour over the meat.

    • Bake lobster tails in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
    • Squeeze fresh lemon over each tail.
    • Serve garnished with chopped parsley.

How do I know if my lobster tails are done?

The lobster tails will be bright pink when cooked, but the certain way to tell if they are done is to check the internal temperature. It should be at least 140 degrees F.

    How to serve lobster tails?

The classic way to serve lobster tails is with fresh lemon wedges or slices and a garnish of chopped fresh parsley.

Can I make them ahead of time?

I do not recommend making the lobster tails ahead of time and reheating later. This will cause the meat to be tough. To save time, prep the tails and refrigerate until ready to bake.

Perfectly cooked with such a lovely blend of seasonings! Great "fancy" date night in food. Especially with a lovely bottle of white wine and maybe some roasted asparagus.
