Why You'll Love This Dessert
Please, do take time to indulge in the image of gooey caramel of this homemade candy bar version. It is quite incredible you can make it in your own kitchen and quite embarrassing how many squares you will eat afterward. I simply cannot get over it.
It is a temptation hard to resist. It's winning (because you made your own candy bar) but losing because you can't stop eating it.
Every single layer is absolutely delicious and together they make for one quite genius combo. Peanut butter chocolate bottom and top make for the perfect "packaging", while nougat (yes, you can make your own nougat with just a few simple ingredients!) with peanuts and a gooey caramel layers create a mouth-watering filling for the bar. Absolutely irresistible!
Ingredients:
- chocolate chips: I used milk because it's my favorite in candy; semi-sweet works great too!
- peanut butter: smooth or crunchy,
- butter
- sugar
- evaporated milk
- marshmallow fluff
- vanilla
- peanuts
- caramels
- heavy whipping cream

Helpful Tips!
- Read the recipe first: make sure you have the ingredients on hand and know this dessert takes time to make as it is made with layers;
- Be patient: The beauty of no-bake desserts with layers is that you can stop after any layer and finish them when you are ready.
How to store them?
These Snicker bars are the best at room temperature because the caramel softens up and becomes gooey. You can store the leftovers in a freezer as you would with any store-bought candy bars.

I'd only make these if I had someone to give them to. I know me. I'd eat the whole pan by myself, and I certainly don't need that (but I'd have fun doing it)!

So I have seen so many of these copycat butterfinger recipes and they always use the candy corn.. It was hurting my head at the thought of using candy corn and nuking them. Well, Butterfinger is one of the hubby's favs so I finally broke down and tried them.... I would say they are about a 90% copycat, super easy to make, they even get a crunchy crumbly inner texture. They were amazingly good, and I don't like chocolate or candy in general, I just bake for the family. Candy corn is now stocked up on during Halloween so the can be made regularly.
