Make these easy Chocolate Truffles with just 2 ingredients! This easy homemade treat can be coated with cocoa powder for the classic look or crushed nuts, sprinkles, or coconut.
Chocolate truffles are essentially balls of chocolate ganache. Creamy, smooth, rich, and sweet! Pure gold for chocolate fans!

If you ever made ganache from scratch and thought: man, I could eat this with a spoon! Well, you can! Just turn it into truffles! Sure you can get a fancy box with many flavors, but it is so fun to make a batch in your own kitchen. You will only need 2 main ingredients (chocolate and cream) and something to roll them in, like cocoa powder, chopped nuts, shredded coconuts or simply sprinkles.
Ingredients:
- chocolate: in a bar or chunks/chips; get the good quality
- heavy whipping cream
How to make Chocolate Truffles?
- Start by placing chocolate in a bowl.
- Heat up the cream until simmering (do not boil!). Pour over chocolate. Do not stir!
- After 5 minutes, stir the mixture until smooth.
- Pour into a shallow dish or bowl and let it set. You can chill it in the fridge. I recommend overnight.
- Scoop the mixture with a spoon and roll into balls.
- Roll each ball in cocoa powder, shredded coconut, sprinkles, etc.
- Enjoy!

- add any extract you like: vanilla, rum, coconut, raspberry, etc.
- stir in finely crushed nuts or cookies into the smooth mixture, before setting
- roll chocolate truffles in crushed nuts

Storing:
I recommend storing truffles in a container with a lid, in the fridge, for up to 2 weeks. You can make them and store them before rolling in toppings.
