    These Air Fryer Zucchini crisps are a great way to enjoy this vegetable. This is a perfect appetizer or snack that is crunchy and delicious!

    These crisps have a similar texture to my Crispy Zucchini Fries and are as easy to make as the Air Fryer French Fries.

    If your garden is full of zucchini and you are looking for more ways to use it, this Air Fryer Zucchini recipe is for you! I sliced it thin, dipped in melted butter and coated with Parmesan breading. They are baked in an air fryer until golden brown. The coating tastes like toasted cheese!

    Ingredients:

    • zucchini: I used a medium size
    • butter: unsalted, melted
    • breadcrumbs: I used Italian style; if you are using plain, add Italian seasoning; use panko for even crunchier breading
    • Parmesan cheese: freshly grated is the best since pre-grated is coated with starch
    Ingredients on a board.

    How to make Air Fryer Zucchini?

    • Start by slicing zucchini into disks.
    • Melt butter in a small bowl.
    • Mix breading and Parmesan in another small bowl.
    • The zucchini will sweat while it sits on a plate, so make sure to blot it with paper towel before breading.
    • Dip each zucchini slice in butter, then breading.
    Breading station for zucchini.
    • Arrange in a single layer in air fryer basket or rack.
    • Air fry for 15 to 17 minutes, or until golden brown.

    I didn't salt the zucchini since Parmesan cheese is pretty salty. You can always season baked crisps with salt and pepper if desired.

    What to serve with zucchini crisps?

    We enjoyed them with marinara sauce and ketchup. Garlic aioli, Tzatziki Sauce, sriracha mayo, Yum Yum Sauce or Ranch dressings are also delicious options.

    Storing:

    Any leftovers should be store in a container with lid, in the fridge. You can reheat the crisps in the air fryer, for 2 to 3 minutes.

    Variations:

    • low-carb: use crushed pork rinds in place of breadcrumbs;
    • vegan: use vegan butter or coconut oil and nutritional yeast in place of Parmesan cheese;
    • fries: cut zucchini into sticks, bread, and air fry;
    Air fried zucchini on a plate.

      Very tasty, but next time I will fry at least 20 minutes. Not as crispy as I would like.
