Chocolate Peanut Butter Overnight Oats Recipe - healthy breakfast idea made ahead of time! Only 5 ingredients needed to make this sweet and delicious oatmeal.
Overnight oats are one of my favorite breakfasts of late. I can make it the night before and chill in the fridge till breakfast time. My Peanut Butter Banana Oats were a huge success so I decided to make a new version. One that includes chocolate!
These Chocolate Peanut Butter Overnight Oats taste like dessert but they have no added sugar which makes them a great light and healthy breakfast option. Just grab and go in the morning!
I am double excited to make this recipe because my kiddos absolutely love it! Each of them can make their own jar of oats and enjoy in the morning with their choice of toppings. Fresh strawberries, coconut, chopped nuts - it's delicious!
Usually I add a tablespoon of brown sugar to my overnight oats but in this recipe I used a vanilla yogurt and it adds just enough sweetness. No sugar needed! I also add a dollop of the yogurt on top of the oatmeal just before serving. Quick sprinkle of grated milk chocolate and I am good to go!
For this recipe, you can use any milk you like with your cereal: whole, 2%, skim, soy, almond, etc.
Having oatmeal for breakfast is a great way to boost your energy, it will keep you full longer and lower your cholesterol levels. The addition of chocolate and peanut butter makes them absolutely delicious and easy to enjoy!

I enjoy overnight oats & when I saw this recipe I knew I had to try it with a couple of changes. I added Chia seeds & substituted oat milk for dairy milk & I didn't have the vanilla yogurt but I had vanilla yogurt coffee creamer & it was delicious. Also, I used 2 tablespoons of powdered peanut butter instead of the creamy & I added 2 teaspoons of mini semi-sweet morsels & frozen strawberries & what a tasty breakfast treat! I will make it again.
