Orange Cream Smoothie - refreshing and satisfying drink!

    orange cream smoothie

I am in a desperate need of sunshine. Every time the sun comes out just at least a tiny bit, I get excited! Mind you it's usually short-lived but I try to appreciate every little sun ray. The gray winter days are just so depressing!

It's a citrus season and oranges always remind me of sunshine. I decided to bring a little bit of happy sunshine to our mornings and made this smoothie. I used my Blendtec Blender on it's smoothie setting.

It's creamy with all the good thing oranges have to offer.

Oranges - excellent source of vitamin C, a powerful natural antioxidant; great source of vitamin A (good for your skin and vision) and B-complex.

Oats - one of the most fun grains to eat! full of fiber that controls your blood sugar and keeps you satisfied.

Greek yogurt (vanilla flavor) - high in protein which helps fill you up.

My kids loved it and called it the Sunshine Smoothie!! I will take it!

I'm new to smoothie making...are the oats you add cooked or uncooked?
      Thanks!

I'd loooove to sip on this citrus beauty!! Anything that starts with the word "sunshine" has got to be amazing! Yesterday the sun decided to stick around for a few hours and I was like a kid in a candy store! Slap happy! I was out all day enjoying it! 🙂

What a treat in the morning! I need me some sunshine right now. It has been way too gray and cloudy lately.
