Orange Cranberry Spritzer - a festive drink for the holidays!
You can say I am obsessed with cranberries and I will gladly admit it. I just love those little berries! I have a freezer packed with bags of them and a bowl full of fresh ones on the counter.
This spritzer idea came from my Hubby. We love wintery drinks and I planned on sharing some here on the blog this month. We did a little research together and one of the holiday drink recipes that came up high in searches was actually Hot Butter Rum. Have you had one of those? It sounded great to us and we couldn't wait to try it. Long story short - it was horrible. We didn't like it one bit (sorry to those who do!). Just something about rum mixed with hot water didn't sit well with us.
We decided to brainstorm a little and my Hubby suggested something with cranberries since I love them so much and have so many of them. 🙂 He was onto something.
I love this spritzer! The cranberries and orange go so good together! This one is a keeper!

This recipe is super simple and quite adaptable. Add more of the flavor you like the most and it will still be delicious. I think I will use more cranberry juice next time! 🙂
To make it an adult version, you can add a shot of vodka (I hear there is cranberry flavored vodka out there). We tried with a shot of dark rum and it was fabulous!
Orange cranberry spritzer
Ingredients
- ¾ c cranberry juice
- ¼ c orange juice
- 1 c sparkling seltzer water
- 1 shot of vodka or dark rum (optional)
Instructions
- Combine cranberry juice, orange juice and seltzer in a 12oz. mug.
- Top with vodka or rum if desired.
- Garnish with orange slice and fresh cranberries.
- Serve.
