Cheesy Spinach Dip Chicken Pasta – your new favorite dinner! Spinach dip and pasta get together to create one cheesy and creamy dish! You need to make it!
I combined the spinach dip and all of it’s creamy goodness with cooked penne and cooked chicken. Then I topped it all with mozzarella and baked into one glorious meal! It is so crazy good – it’s crazy!

This dish is also great to take to neighbors that just had a baby, or friends that are sick. Everyone will love it! It’s a hit with kids even though it has spinach. And we all know how kids react to spinach.
You can use fresh or frozen spinach in this dish. I tried both and didn’t notice much difference. Go with fresh is it’s in season and frozen when you can’t find it.

Any idea why the actual recipe no longer shows up for me on here ? My son requested it as a meal this coming week and nothing is showing up other than the pic and comments.

Kathy says
Hey! Do you cook the fresh spinach before adding to mixture?
Shauna says
Does this freeze well? I made one and put it in the freezer (for meals once baby comes) and I remembered that cream cheese doesn’t freeze well 😳
Anna@CrunchyCreamySweet says
Hi Shauna! First of all, congratulations on your sweet little one! Second, I think this pasta will be fine since you will be reheating it anyways before serving. Cream cheese does not freeze well and it's not recommended if you want to use it for things like cheesecake or smooth dip. I hope this helps!

Am I going crazy or was the recipe deleted? I took a screen shot of the ingredients and just went back to look for instructions and cooking info to start dinner and I can’t find any of it now
Anna@CrunchyCreamySweet says
Hi Mackenzie! What timing! I just moved the recipe to its original post. Here it is: https://www.crunchycreamysweet.com/cheesy-spinach-dip-chicken-pasta/ I hope you love it!

That is so funny.....I used it to buy all the stuff earlier in the week and went back to get the recipe to make for tonight and thought I had lost my mind. Glad it wasn't just me. 🙂
Anna@CrunchyCreamySweet says
Hi Susan! I am so sorry for the confusion. I hope you love this pasta!
Jenn says
Hi!
Can I use something else in place of the sour cream or yogurt?
Thanks
Arianna Marissa Fox says
Hi ! Is it possible to skip the dry ranch?
Arianna Marissa Fox says
Or anything else I can skip it for?
Arianna Marissa Fox says
Or anything else I can replace it with?
Anna@CrunchyCreamySweet says
Hi Arianna! Yes, you can skip it and use garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt and pepper.
Tkcox says
If I use frozen spinach, do I need to let it thaw before using it?
Anna@CrunchyCreamySweet says
Yes, you will have to thaw the spinach before using.
Melissa says
10 minutes doesn't seem long enough to bake it. Is that really the amount of time?
Anna@CrunchyCreamySweet says
Hi Melissa! The pasta and chicken are already cooked and still warm while you are assembling the casserole so yes, 10 minutes is all you need to heat it all up together. Hope this helps!
Connie says
10 stars-yummy good flavor that I’ll make again and again! Put my own spin on it by adding mushrooms, artichokes, onion powder, garlic powder, red pepper, dill. Thanks so much!
Penny says
I made this for dinner last night and loved it. I will add to my list of favorites. Thanks so much!
Anna@CrunchyCreamySweet says
Yay! Thank you so much for letting me know, Penny!
Penny says
I do have a question. Could you make this in a Crock-Pot? I wanted to take it for lunch but wanted it hot
Penny Smith says
Ok I made this in the crock pot today for work. I fixed it up last night and then this morning I buttered my crock pot and poured the mixture in. I put it on about 9:45 until 12:00 on low and it was just as good as it was in the oven. Everyone loved it.
Leslie says
How long and at what temp do you bake if you made it ahead and it is cold?
Anna@CrunchyCreamySweet says
Hi Leslie! I recommend the same temperature and add 10 more minutes to baking time. Check to see if it's bubbly and heated through and add more time if needed. I hope this helps!
Dani says
Hi! How would you bake this if I made it and then froze it? Thank you!
Anna@CrunchyCreamySweet says
Hi Dani! After removing from freezer, let it come to room temperature. The bake until it sizzles on the edges and it's heated through. Hope this helps!
David says
My favorite dip is now dinner, Yay!

I hope you love it!
