  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk.
  2. Place in a ziploc bag or a glass jar with lid.
  3. Store in cool, dry place.
  4. When ready to cook: apply rub at least 30 minutes before grilling. It will give it a chance to mix with the natural juices and stick to the meat. Sprinkle the rub over meat, then rub it in with your hands.
