Meatball Sub Cheesy Bread Recipe

  • 1 Italian bread loaf
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 cups pasta sauce we use this pizza sauce recipe
  • 20 in Farm Rich Italian Style Meatballs thawed, each sliced half
  • 16 slices of Mozzarella cheese sandwich style


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Slice bread in half horizontally. Place both halves inside up on the prepared sheet.
  • Mix melted butter with minced garlic and spread over bread halves.
  • Cover bread with aluminum foil and bake for 7 minutes.
  • When done, spread 1 cup of pasta sauce over the bread (reserve remaining 1/2 cup), dividing equally. Arrange meatballs over the sauce.
  • Top meatballs with remaining sauce (just over the tops).
  • Place cheese slices on top.
  • Bake bread for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and meatballs heated through.
  • Let bread cool for 10 minutes.
  • Slice and serve immediately.
