  • 1 lb jumbo shrimp
  • 12 oz smoked sausage
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Cajun seasoning

  1. Prep the shrimp: peel, remove the vein, rinse and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Slice sausage, peppers, and onions (if using).
  3. Preheat the grill. Soak wooden skewers in water.
  4. Place shrimp and sausage in a bowl, drizzle with oil and add seasoning. Gently stir together.
  5. Place shrimp, sausage, and veggies on skewers.
  6. Place on hot grill and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side. When the shrimp turns pink, flip the skewer and cook the other side.
  7. Remove from grill and let sit for a couple of minutes.
  8. Serve.

Recipe Notes

  • I added peppers and onion for texture and color. You can skip the vegetables or use others, like mushrooms or zucchini.
  • My homemade Cajun seasoning is keto-friendly.
