Make these Sauteed Green Beans in a skillet in minutes, for a quick, healthy and delicious side dish! Cooked with butter, garlic and seasoning this recipe will turn anyone into a green beans fan.
Bring to a boil and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. The longer you cook them, the softer the beans will be. For crisp-tender beans, 5 minutes is perfect.
Remove the beans onto a plate and carefully wipe the skillet dry.
Add oil and one tablespoon of butter to skillet.
Once the butter is melted, add garlic to the pan and sautee until fragrant and golden.
Add Italian seasoning and cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes. This activates the dry herbs.
Add beans to pan and stir in. Sautee for 4 to 5 minutes. Add remaining butter and stir to melt.
Serve.
Notes
Fresh green beans do not have a long shelf life so I recommend cooking them as soon as you buy them.
