Blender apple butter
The quickest way to make a delicious Apple Butter. Perfect for spreading on toast or bagels!This recipe makes 1 cup of butter.
Servings: 4 people
- 1/2 c warm water
- 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 2 Granny Smith apples , peeled, sliced and steamed (see tip)
- 1/4 c raisins
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Place all ingredients in the blender and blend to smooth.
Pour into a jar with lid.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
!tip for apples:
If you don't want to steam the apples, you can place the slices and 1/4 c water in a medium saucepan and cook until soft. Drain from remaining water and then place the apples in a blender.
If the apple slices are hot, let them cool before blending into a butter.
