3-Ingredient Beer Bread - the easiest quick savory bread recipe made with self-rising flour, sugar and beer. Perfect to go with a bowl of soup or chili.
Line a 9"x5" loaf pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
Whisk flour (*see note for additional ingredients if making your own self-rising flour) and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Add beer and stir with wooden spoon until all combined. Do not overmix.
Transfer the batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 43 to 45 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
To make self-rising flour for this recipe: whisk together 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 3 and ¾ teaspoons of baking powder and ¾ teaspoon of salt. Use in place of self-rising flour.
