Line a 13" x 9" pan with aluminum foil. Lightly grease the bottom and sides. Set aside.
In a large microwave-safe mixing bowl, melt together peanut butter and butter. Whisk until smooth.
Add both sugars and whisk until all combined. Add vanilla and eggs and whisk until smooth.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients ( flour, baking powder and salt ). Add to the wet ingredients. Whisk together until smooth.
Pour the batter into prepared baking pan. Spread evenly.
Bake 25 - 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the sides are golden brown.
Prepare the glaze, while your bars are cooling.
In a microwave-safe measuring cup, melt together butter and peanut butter.
Pour into a medium mixing bowl. Whisk together.
Add vanilla ( or coffee ) and whisk again.
Add powdered sugar and whisk until smooth and spreadable consistency.
If you think your glaze is too thick, you can add a splash of milk to thin it out to spreading consistency.
Spread the glaze over a warm cake. Let it cool completely until the glaze sets.
