Brown chicken over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes per side. Remove from pan and set on a plate.
Add rest of oil to the skillet and add chopped garlic.

Saute until golden and fragrant.
Add tomato sauce, remaining butter and cream (if using half and half, mix it with cornstarch before adding to skillet). Stir everything together.
