Butter 2 4oz. ramekins. Place 1 tablespoon of fruit filling in each ramekin.
In a saucepan, combine oats, water, salt and vanilla. Add granulated sugar and mix well. Cook until done.
Divide mixture among ramekins. Sprinkle brown sugar on top.
Broil for 2 to 3 minutes. Serve warm.
Notes
Feel free to use fresh or frozen (previously thawed) fruit in place of the pie filling. Simply toss the fruit pieces with a little bit of sugar and let sit for few minutes to release the juices.
