  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  3. Slice bread lenghtwise. Place each piece open side up on the baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together butter, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and garlic. Spread mixture evenly on bread.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes OR until golden brown on top.
  6. Garnish bread with chopped parsley, cut and serve.

Recipe Notes

In this recipe you can use fresh garlic (minced or grated), store-bough minced garlic in olive oil or garlic powder. Each will give the bread a different level of flavor intensity. The fresh garlic will be the strongest.
