Monthly Favorites - May 2017 - my current favorite products and recommendations.
It's been a couple of months since I share my Monthly Favorites, which was due to our month long sickness (strep was awful this year!) and our recent kitchen remodel but I am back with a list of my favorite products! I am so excited to share with you all about them! There are kitchen items as well as beauty and a children's book. Let's get started!
In my Monthly Favorites series I share my current obsessions with food products, kitchen items, sometimes even home and beauty. You can see my first post, HERE. If you recently discovered a product and love it – tell me about it in the comment section below! I’d love to see it!
- Instant Pot
I finally got on the Instant Pot train and you guys, I am never getting off! This appliance got me totally obsessed with pressure cooking. I didn't know much about it so I did the research before it arrived. I joined the awesome Instant Pot community on Facebook where you can ask questions and find recipe inspirations. It's a very interactive group and perfect for newbies. Members share their dinner time successes as well as the mistakes and these is always someone to help and offer advice.
The Instant Pot is my new kitchen BFF. There is officially no other way for me to cook hard boiled eggs than in the IP. Not only they are cooked perfectly but peeling is a breeze! I made soups, chicken and rice, pasta (oh! that pasta is so delicious!) and chili. Lately, I even baked a cheesecake in it and it is glorious! I have found myself declaring how much I love this appliance to my Hubby several times. Especially when I can throw in all of the ingredients along with a frozen chicken breast and have dinner done in under 20 minutes. Woah! #soldandsold
I will be sharing more about Instant Pot and my obsession with it in my upcoming recipe posts. I already have dinners that take minutes to cook and taste like they have been simmering on the stove for hours. You will love them! The Instant Pot is perfect, in my opinion for busy parents. Takes the stress away from dinner time and helps you make dishes packed with flavor!
2. Meal Prep Freshware containers
I am a huge fan of meal prep and making larger batches of food, packing it and freezing. It's so easy to make a sheet pan meal and pack it away for 4 days worth of lunch. Healthy and satisfying! I found these containers from Freshware on Amazon and LOVE them! They are BPA free, microwave and dishwasher safe, you can stack them, freeze them and use them for cold and hot food. The price is great too! These containers are perfect for my family to pack lunches for a picnic by the lake or for our RV road trips.
Check them out here. You can also purchase round containers.
3. Febreze ONE Fabric and Air Mist
Would you like to save this recipe?
This product was completely new to me and I am loving it! The new ONE Fabric & Air Mist from Febreze is free of aerosols, dyes and heavy perfumes. Awesome! I am not a fan of heavily scented air sprays. These mists are light and fresh. After purchasing the starter kit, you only need the refill. So easy! The scents are as follows: Mandarin, Orchid and my favorite: Bamboo. Available in stores and on Amazon here.
4. Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Willems
This is a recent favorite for my little Buddy. He is five (turning 6 this weekend!!) and he reads!! All by himself! This is one of his very favorite books and I absolutely adore to listen to him read and intonate to sound like a pigeon. It makes my heart so happy to see my kiddos read and have fun with it. If you are looking for hilarious and easy books for your kids, check out the Don't Let the Pigeon... series. My kiddos also love Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late! It's fantastic!
5. Ciate bronzer and blush duo
This blush and bronzer duo is my favorite right now. It's subtle and gorgeous, great for my fair skin. I also absolutely love the packaging. The box as well as the bronzer/blush container have the same textured top. Very elegant and sleek.
6. Bath & Body Works fragrance mists
My oldest daughter and I are obsessed with these mists! We made a run recently to our mall and had to stop by the Bath & Body Works store during their Annual Sale. Got these babies for 70% off! They are light, fresh and floral. Perfect for summer! Next time you are near B&BW, check them out. I hope you love them too!

That’s all of the products that made my Favorites in the month of May. I hope you found some new ones to try and if so, let me know in the comments below! What are you obsessing with this month? ?
Have a beautiful day, everyone!

Okay! I will look into the instant pot! I can make good rice, and I am not too fond of cooking now, because my husband is such a picky eater! I love to cook and experiment, but he just wants a good steak! He is good to try salads, though! This is an avenue of discovery for both of us!

You will LOVE it, Maryann! It's absolutely amazing. I make basics, like hard boiled eggs, potatoes (for salads and mashed), mac and cheese, Mexican chicken and so many. Let me know if you get it and if there are any recipes you are looking for. I'd love to help!
