Hi Anna,
I admit, I never thought I liked lemon anything. However, these cookies made a believer out of me. My question to you is on your nutrition facts.....is the calorie count for 1 cookie? I can’t see what a portion is?

Absolutely love these cookies. I’ve made them several times. My question is...can you substitute real lemon juice for the extract? I don’t care for that “taste” from some extracts. Could I use grated lemon peel, also?? Again, great cookie. Love to make them, and everyone I give them to LOVES to eat them.

Hi Charlotte! Thank you so much! I am so glad you love the recipe. It's a family favorite here! Regarding your question, lemon juice used in the same amount won't have strong enough flavor and I am afraid you won't be able to taste it but combined with lemon peel it should be just fine. Use the same amount as the extract, so there will be no excessive amount of liquid added which will change the final result. I hope this helps!
