Berry Frozen Yogurt - an easy and refreshing treat for the summer. Healthier than ice cream yet still creamy and delicious.

Side shot of berry frozen yogurt in a glass cup.

    BERRY FROZEN YOGURT

A healthy and satisfying treat for the hot summer days. That's what this frozen yogurt is all about. Three ingredients is all you need to make it. Oh, and lots of cups and spoons because everyone will want some! My kids love yogurt and are super happy that it's the ice cream season. When they saw me making this frozen yogurt, they didn't leave the kitchen until it was done. I am happy to give them a healthy treat!

HOW TO MAKE BERRY FROZEN YOGURT?

    • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
    • Place the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's direction, about 25 minutes.
    • Scoop into a container and freeze until solid.

Do you think you could make this without an ice cream maker? The recipe sounds delightful, but I'm a broke college student without access to one.

Absolutely! As one commenter mentioned, Donna Hay makes this recipe without the ice cream maker on her TV show. Just freeze the berries and chill the yogurt. Then blend and freeze. Hope this helps!

Being in Sydney Donna Hay is on TV here quite a lot... she also does a version of this with frozen banana, frozen mango and greek yoghurt. She blends in a blender and its instant - no Ice cream machine 🙂 Donna's recipes are brilliant and SO reliable!

I used fresh berries so I went with the ice cream maker (the recipe in her book states so) but yes, you can whip it up in a blender. So so good! Thanks, Lia!
