Monthly Favorites July 2017 - my favorites for the month of July include beauty products, home decor and food products. Check it out!
August is here and so is the time to look back at July and share all of my favorite finds.
In my Monthly Favorites series I share my current obsessions with food products, kitchen items, sometimes even home and beauty. You can see my first post, HERE. If you recently discovered a product and love it – tell me about it in the comment section below! I’d love to see it!
1. DCWV Letterboard
Letterboards are the new hot home decor trend. Chances are, that you've seen them while scrolling through your Instagram feed. The vintage ones can be quite pricey, in my opinion. You can always make your own (this tutorial is one of the best I've seen). I was super excited to discover this more affordable option from DCWV brand. Their products are available at JoAnn's stores and from what I have heard, also Target! I got a 16"x 16" board in black and a 12"x 12" board in gray. They are very sturdy, can stand alone on your fireplace mantel or be hanged on a wall. The collection includes not only the boards in so many different sizes but you can also find letters in white, black, pink, teal, red, silver and gold! Different sizes too! But that's not all! DCWV also has cursive words and signs ( latte cup and wine glass, anyone?). The prices of the boards are half of the vintage ones online, but if you apply a JoAnn coupon (sometimes even a 60% off single item), you can score them for a really great price!
2. Blueberry CHEX Cereal
Last month, I received a sweet package from Chex Cereal. It was a picnic basket with a box of their new Blueberry Chex and everything I need to turn it into Blueberry Lemon Muddy Buddies! How fun! We are huge fans of muddy buddies and I love this fruity version! My kiddos love it with yogurt in the morning too.
We ended up making a big batch of the muddy buddies and took it on our RV trip. Perfect snack and so delicious!
3. Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub
I have been looking for a good body scrub for ever and finally found it! I ordered the Tree Hut She Sugar Scrub online at Walgreens.com. I love that whatever my store doesn't carry, I can order online and have it shipped for free to the store and pick up at my convenience.
Tree Hut has a pretty large line of sugar scrubs with so many different fragrances. Since it is still summer and I am all about tropical scents, I ordered the Hawaiian Kukui scrub. The scent is out-of-this-world beautiful! The scrub contains sugar, natural Kukui nut oil and certified organic shea butter. It also contains other natural oils, like almond, avocado and orange. This product is not tested on animals and it's made in the USA.
You can check out all of the different Tree Hut scrubs on Amazon, HERE.
4. L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara
This mascara is another item that came with my online Walgreen's order. I have been waiting to get my hands on it, try it and see if it really is worth the hype. A lot of beauty makeup YouTubers rave about it. I also shared on my Instagram Stories as soon as I received it and some of you messaged me that you have it too and love it! You guys, this mascara is crazy good! I am obsessed! As a huge fan of the original Voluminous mascara, I had high hopes for the Lash Paradise to be good and it sure is! My Hubby asked if I was wearing falsies the first time I applied it! Score!! My lashes are pretty good length to start but I love how this mascara curls them up and holds it through out the day. It's lengthening and volumizing and I love it!
You can order the L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara on Amazon, HERE.
5. BurgaBox
Last month, we received a complementary box from BurgaBox. It's a completely new meal kit to me. BurgaBox comes from the co-founder of Boston Burger Company and they have quite the press behind them. There are 12 feast boxes available to choose from, a party pack with appetizers, BurgaBox of the month club boxes, and even a gluten free box. My Hubby and I decided to try the Texan Feast Kit because of it's BBQ flair. The box arrived within 2 days of being ordered. All of the ingredients came in a cooler. It contained a whole burger meal for two people. You not only get everything to make the burgers, but also the sides that are ready and just need to be heated up (except the coleslaw). The burgers were very good but what we loved the most was definitely the pulled pork mac and cheese. It was incredible! It came in a ready-to-bake container and after 30 minutes in the oven, it was sizzling, cheesy and fantastic. The whole meal definitely looked like a gourmet burger restaurant order. It was truly a feast!
One thing I don't like about this meal kit is definitely the price. It's quite up there. The box that feeds 2 people costs $69. That's $34.50 per person. You can expect to pay that in a restaurant in Boston but the fact that I am still cooking the burgers and heating everything up, plating and serving AND then washing the dishes makes it actually very pricey. However, if you are busy parents who love to cook at home and want to have a stay-at-home date night once in a while with good food, this option is worth checking out. It may even be a great gift for newlyweds.
If you want to try the BurgaBox, I have a $10 off coupon for you. Click here to apply it.

Hi Debra! That's awesome! Thank you! Which scrub is your favorite? I definitely want to try more of them. I like to shop at Walgreens since I can get points for each purchase. 😀
