I think I’ve found a way to deal with the clutter and my to-do lists from this winter. It appears that I just need to lose something.
Let me explain.
The other day, I could not find my camera charger no matter how hard I looked. I searched everywhere I thought it could be and all I was getting was irritated and frustrated. Ugh. I hate losing things. Or worse, placing them somewhere and thinking “just remember I put it there” and then totally forget that place.
Add a serious case of Spring fever to it all and I was one mad lady! I turned my whole office space up side down. I pulled every single thing out of my kitchen drawers. Suddenly I looked around and all I could see was a pile of stuff that was calling for organization and finding it’s proper places.
And I did.
I have now organized dessert decorating tools, photo props, linens and napkins. I have all my photography boards in one place, along with my reflectors. All of my camera equipment is in one place too.
Lucky you I found the charger or you would never had seen the photos of this incredible breakfast idea. Are you happy? 🙂
We love baked oatmeal (check out my Caramel Pear and Brown Butter Baked Oatmeal) and I make it quite often. I wanted to jazz it up a bit and Bruleed Oatmeal with fruit on the bottom sounded perfect.
I recently won a can of strawberry pie filling from Lucky Leaf and because I don’t make pies I was looking for an idea on using it. It was great in this recipe but feel free to toss some fresh or frozen fruit (previously thawed) in a little bit of sugar and place on the bottom of your cocotte or ramekin. Top it with cooked oatmeal and sprinkle with a mix of granulated or brown sugar.
Pop in the oven under the broiler for few minutes until the top caramelizes and your done!
Easy and quite fast weekend breakfast idea.
This recipe makes enough for 1 adult so feel free to double or triple it accordingly to your needs.
Have a fabulous day!
