TGIF, my peeps!
The squirrel family saga continues. Remember the mad momma squirrel that would yell at me every time I passed her tree home? Well, appears that she had a very good reason. She was protecting her little babies! Yes, there are baby squirrels in our backyard tree! Absolutely adorable! So adorable in fact, that it makes you want to take them home, pet and keep them! (Hubby is just shaking his head right now)
Have you ever thought of baking your cookies in a muffin pan? I am talking about scooping your dough right into muffin cavities of your pan and baking into fun cookie cups! Summer time will be here before you know it we will all be screaming for ice cream! How fun would it be to serve them and devour in these fun little cups made out of your favorite drop cookies? 
Recently I have been trying to channel my inner hostess. You know, the kind that wears a pretty apron everyday, shiny pearls draped on her neck, and always a tray of freshly baked scones. Ready for guests any time of the day. Blame it on my love for the 50′s and a recent marathon of the “Desperate Housewives”. I always loved Bree’s character. Until the writers totally messed her up and turned her into ……
As you can see, I have been on a whole wheat kick lately. And chocolate chip cookies just had to be a part of it. I couldn’t wait to make them and see how the whole wheat flour affects the texture and taste.
Sometimes mistakes lead to delicious discoveries. I blame it all on my son‘s adorable smile and a need to play Hot Wheels right in the same time I was making my first biscotti. He is the most adorable boy ever and I love him to pieces! The way he says “Mommy” just melts my heart! He is known for getting me in trouble.
