Oh, and did I mention that you only need 3 ingredients to make them? I have days when I am craving their Dark 70% bar (also my Hubby’s favorite) and days when I want to nib on the Milk Chocolate bar. There is always something to choose from since the company makes 11 different flavors. The dedication to choose only fine organic ingredients and  the fact that the chocolates are Fairtrade certified, makes them them even better. Tie a red ribbon over your loved one’s favorite Green & Black’s Organic Chocolate bar, insert a sweet note and leave it on their desk for a sweet surprise. To make an easy platter of treats for a Valentine’s Day evening, I love to pair Green & Black’s Organic Chocolates with dried, pitted dates (you can place a small square of the chocolate inside the date!), along with a glass of merlot and juicy red grapes. 3-Ingredient Dark Chocolate Orange Truffles

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Cook Time: 2 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: about 30 truffles

3-Ingredient Dark Chocolate Orange Truffles - the easiest homemade truffles yet the most decadent. The perfect Valentine's Day gift!

Ingredients

  1. 8 oz. 70% Dark Green & Black’s Organic chocolate, chopped
  2. 1 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest
  3. 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Place chopped chocolate in a medium mixing bowl. Add orange zest. Set aside.
  2. Heat up the cream in a small saucepan. Bring it to boil. Remove from heat and pour over the chocolate and orange zest. Do not stir! Let it sit for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Stir the chocolate and cream mixture until smooth.
  4. Place, uncovered, in a refrigerator to set.
  5. Line a large baking sheet with a parchment paper.
  6. Scoop the truffle mixture with a small cookie scoop (2 teaspoon size). Place on the sheet.
  7. Transfer the baking sheet into the fridge for about 20 minutes.
  8. Place sprinkles and pink sugar in small balls and set on the counter.
  9. Roll each truffle in the palm of your hands and immediately roll in sprinkles and sugar.
  10. Place back on the sheet. Repeat with each truffle.
  11. Store the truffles in an air-tight container in your fridge.
