One of the easiest apple desserts to make this fall: Caramel Apple Crumb Bars. Delicious brown sugar crust and topping and creamy apple filling.
Yesterday, we had our first snowfall of the cold season. It was totally unexpected and I didn’t like it a bit. I just don’t do well in cold.
Our kids on the other hand, were totally thrilled! They were even hoping it will stick so they can make a snowman! Woah! Hold your horses – weather and kids! This mom is NOT ready for winter! My coat is still stashed away deep in my closet. I just pulled out my sweaters and scarves but for the warm fall weather.
Easy Skillet Caramel Apples are a must this fall. Great as pancake toppings, crepe filling or and addition to your morning oatmeal.
If you are like me, you have tons of apples sitting on your counters, filling the fruit bowls. If you are like me, you love apples and caramel together.
If you are a fan of oatmeal in the morning, you also know how quickly it can get boring. Season fruit to the rescue! Always!
Sweet scones made with brown sugar, cinnamon and packed with raisins and chocolate chips.
Can I just say how excited it makes me to officially have the green light for baking everyday? Both from my Husband (who doesn’t complain that I am heating up the house while it’s 100 degrees outside) and from the nature (that graces us with mild to cool temperatures). I can finally enjoy it! Summer is never fun for baking and my sweet tooth demands the sugar fix everyday.
Roasted sweet dark cherries topped with rum infused brown sugar sweetened Greek yogurt – perfect treat for a date night.
A while ago, my Husband and I realized something. Times when we can go out together, just the two of us, for a date night, are over. Well, at least for now. By the time, the kids are tucked in their beds, we both are exhausted from the whole day of work (business and home) that all we can do is watch TV on the couch cuddled up. No dressing up, no babysitters, no restaurant meals.
Folks, it’s August.
a) summer has flown by
b) fall will be here before we know it
c) I can finally start thinking about fall food!
Enter Glazed Cinnamon Sugar Loaf Cake made with Chobani Greek Yogurt.
I think I’ve found a way to deal with the clutter and my to-do lists from this winter. It appears that I just need to lose something.
Let me explain.
The other day, I could not find my camera charger no matter how hard I looked. I searched everywhere I thought it could be and all I was getting was irritated and frustrated. Ugh. I hate losing things. Or worse, placing them somewhere and thinking “just remember I put it there” and then totally forget that place.
We have been robbed. Robbed of an hour of time. Do you know how precious one hour is to the parents of three little kids? VEEEERY precious. It’s an additional hour of sleep. It’s an additional hour of bliss and peace.
For the last couple of days I’ve been a walking zombie…. “Walking Dead” has nothing on me. I could scare you just like that. Until I have my morning coffee. In peace. With my Hubby. Getting ready for the day.
I needed that one more hour!
